British Gas Gets The Pick of Viva Trainees! - Viva Training Academy

We’re excited to announce a new working relationship with British Gas! News of our high-quality training and the excellent installers it creates has caught the attention of the UK’s biggest name in gas.

At the beginning of October, representatives from British Gas will be coming to Viva to meet our latest round of Gas Managed Learning Programme (MLP) students, to see if any of them could be potential BG stars!

This is a great opportunity for Viva candidates, which will hopefully mean a number of our trainees walk straight into a job at the end of their MLP.

The plan is to keep this relationship going, with Viva supplying a ready stream of fully trained and qualified gas installers to join the BG team.

The perfect starting point to a career in gas

Our MLP is the perfect starting point for anyone looking for a rewarding career in gas. Suitable for complete new entrants, the programme takes around 15 weeks in total and covers in-classroom training on our purpose-built rigs, theory and on-site work experience.

Successful candidates end the MLP completing the Gas ACS – a necessary requirement of becoming Gas Safe registered.

Unlike some training providers, we help our candidates find a suitable placement for their work experience. We partner with a range of local businesses to source this invaluable part of the course. So, if you don’t get a job with British Gas, you might very well get employed by your placement provider!

While we can’t guarantee a job at the end, we will do everything in our power to make sure you get the very best training and support, while putting you in front of potential employers – British Gas included!
