F Gas Certification is a legal requirement for refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) engineers working with Fluorinated Gases in accordance with the F Gas Regulations – the legislation which is phasing out harmful F Gases in favour of more environmentally friendly alternatives.
We run industry-leading F-Gas qualifications, including a Category 1 Level 3 course.
All of our F-Gas courses are taught by experienced technicians, who have a huge amount of industry knowledge. Training is delivered to a high standard, in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
If you want to work in refrigeration you will most likely need your F-Gas Certification. We deliver up to Category 1 certification, which covers all four different F Gas Categories, including leakage, recovery, installation, and maintenance. We also provide a category 2 course for applicants who do not meet the prior requisites.
F-gas stands for Fluorinated gases.
Holding your F-gas qualification opens the door to jobs like; Air Con installer, Air Con Repair, Air Conditioning Servicing, Commercial aircon installer as well as refrigeration technicians.
The main F-gas powered appliances are Fridges, Air Conditioning units/Heat pumps, and car refrigeration systems.
If you are wanted to start in the Refrigeration industry there are 1 day courses available which will let you begin your journey. If you are wanting to specialise in Air Conditioning, then an F-Gas Course would be the best next step.
If you are wanting to work on split system heat pumps and Air conditioning units or re-charge units then F-gas is the best step. If you are wanting to work on monoblock heat pumps then we would recommend Air Source Heat Pump.
If you are wanting to become a qualified Aircon Installer, the best way to start your career is with our F-Gas Level 3 (Category 1) course. This will teach you about fluorinated Gases and enable you to work on refrigerant systems up to any size.
We offer top-notch practical facilities that provide a conducive learning environment. These facilities are designed to simulate real-life scenarios, providing a hands-on approach to learning. Refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) engineers need to complete F-Gas certification to work on split-systems.
To find out which Level 3 Certification you can qualify for, see the Requirements & Qualifications section.
