Our LPG Changeover course is designed for experienced Gas Safe Registered engineers who want to install, service and repair domestic LPG appliances in permanent dwellings and other premises – a smart move for gas installers working in rural communities, particularly those that benefit from tourism.

LPG changeover course details:
Suitable candidates must hold a valid CCN1 or COCN1 qualification with a minimum of 6 months’ experience.
This course also includes modules covering specific locations, such as park homes and boats, which can be tailored to meet the requirements of your business.
To work on LPG appliances, installers must hold the equivalent natural gas qualification.
What does the LPG Changeover course cover?
- Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 (pertaining to LPG)
- Relevant Health & Safety Regulations
- Properties and characteristics of LPG
- Safe handling
- Gas storage
- Pressure, regulators and associated LPG controls
- Standing and operating pressure
- LPG pipework and flexible hoses
- Tightness testing procedures
- Bulk storage supplies
- Cylinder supplies
- Dealing with unsafe situations
One or more of the following modules covering specific locations can also be included in the course, subject to your requirements:
- LPG Leisure Accommodation Vehicles
- LPG Residential Park Homes
- LPG Boats & Yachts
- LPG Closed Flue Gas Fires
