The qualification enables engineers to ‘self certificate’ the work they undertake, in order to meet the requirements of Building Regulations Approved Documents L1A and L1B, which relate to the conservation of fuel and power in new and existing dwellings, respectively.

What you will learn on the energy efficiency course?

This Level 3 qualification is designed to enable learners to understand, and competently design heating systems that meet current energy efficiency standards.

It covers best practice in designing gas-fired and oil-fired heating systems and is a necessary bolt-on qualification for those looking to up-skill into renewables, such as Air Source Heat Pumps, as well as being relevant to all heating engineer qualifications, including gas and LPG.
